What a lot has happened in the last two weeks.
The choir did an amazing job in joining Aldeburgh Jubilee Opera's performance of 'The Winter's Star' two weekends ago. We hope to be able to collaborate in more projects in the future.
Preparations for Christmas have been at full speed. All the children worked together to make Christmas decorations for our school hall last week. It was a joy to see the children working so closely and supportively. I want to thank all the staff who stayed on after school to put up the decorations in the hall. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas............."
The Christmas Fair was a huge success again this year and raised in excess of £900. Thank you to all of you who supported the event, whether it was a donation on Christmas Jumper day or manning a stall. This is a phenomenal amount for a school of our size to raise and staff and pupils are always grateful for the extra resources and experiences this money funds. The biggest thanks of all has to go to OSLOF - Jo Ogilvie and her team for the hours of work they put into making this and every OSLOF event a success.
Finally, I had the most positive experience at the parent's forum this morning. Thank you to all seven parents who attended - best attendance yet! Parents were able to raise concerns and ideas around; homework, reports, home school communication and the teaching kitchen. They also were able to share the things they were pleased about; the up and coming talent show, learning experiences in different areas of the school, school clubs and community activities.
I will be following up on the issues raise and relaying the positive feedback to my school team. I can't tell you how invaluable today's session was and I look forward to feeding back to parents on my actions and their impact at the next parent's forum next term.
