Dear Parents/ Carers,
We would like to welcome everyone back to Orford school. With Science week and the children being so pleased to be back, it has been a phenomenal few days. Understandably, as many of the children have not been in formal schooling for an extended period, they are now claiming to be extremely tired. I hope the weekend restores their energies again for next week.
Now that the children have returned to school, please keep us informed if you are worried about anything concerning your child; if it is urgent, please use the school email or phone number as the first way of contacting us about it. All staff are now in classes again and Tapestry is not being checked as frequently and we would not like to miss a vital piece of information.
Please also be assured that if we have not come to talk to you, there is nothing wrong with your child and they have settled back into school. Lots of parents/ carers may want to be reassured after this first week that their child is fine after being out of school for so long, but we would tell you if they were not. As I am sure you appreciate, we cannot catch every parent/ carer to say this at the end of the day. We will of course keep you informed of any incidents, concerns or positives about your child in the usual ways.
If you have any equipment that was loaned to you for home, please could you bring it back in so we can use it again in school. Please could you also ensure your children have a spare pair of shoes or wellies for use on the field (these are to be left in school).
Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we get back to being fully open again,
