School Council

All of the children at Orford CoE Primary School are part of the Whole School Council. We call this our 'Family Circle Groups'. Here children meet with others from their family circles/teams to discuss a range of topics. These sessions are led by our Year 5 and 6 pupils who then report back to Mr Head and Mrs Berry.

The children are encouraged to view themselves as active citizens who can share ideas and inform the change process in their school.

Our Family Circle Groups have come up with a set of rules which every member agrees to.

Rules

Listen to each other respectfully.
Make sure everyone gets a copy of the minutes.
Put your hand up if you would like to speak and wait until you are holding the talking token.
Always behave positively.

In the school hall we have a "You said.... we did" board where the results of any actions taken are posted and shared.
